Folklore Garden Prague

This was our favourite thing to do in Prague! Don't miss it! The Folklore Garden is an amazing experience for young and old!  Family-friendly would be the ideal way to describe Folklore; while the children will definitely enjoy the unique experience of dancing with the folk dancers, the adults can also partake in the wonderful Czech beer. 

The setting at the Folklore Garden is evocative of a traditional Prague country home. Guests are typically treated to dances, music and a comedy show to entertain you all through the night. Also known for its refined Czech cuisine, the Folklore hall restaurant serves real, local dishes and drinks.

What to expect at the Folklore Garden Prague

Folk dancers and music

At the Folklore Gardens, traditions come to life thanks to the upbeat rhythms and music that takes you on a journey that will introduce you to various aspects of Prague culture, its history, and traditions.  The singers, musicians, and dancers will treat your family members to an unforgettable experience all of which you can also partake in. My daughter loved trying out the dances! All the participants are dressed in traditional clothing to make the experience as genuine as possible. 

Delectable cuisine

Upon arrival at the Folklore Garden, the adults are welcomed with a glass of mead that has been made with locally sourced honey and other ingredientsa and wow this was so delicous that I went and bought a bottle to bring home with me!  A three-course meal follows and it is amazing trying all the soups, meats and potatoes that Prague is famous for. Almost all the meals are served communal style to create an atmosphere of a garden party.

Pick and drop off

As long as your hotel is centrally located, the Folklore Garden will pick up and drop off the members of your family from and to your hotel after the show is complete. If you are residing in a nearby location, you can also to confirm your pick up point and your reservation.
