Are you ready for a day at the Mountain Wellness Day Spa?

After a day on the slopes, when your muscles are sore and you really want to relax, the  Day Spa provides salon services and pampering spa treatments for all ages. The spa has treatments for singles and couples; you can come for one treatment or have a package deal which includes a number of services like a massage, facial, champagne and relaxation in the Jacuzzi.

The spa has two locations – in the Sawridge Inn & Conference Center where visitors can have spa treatments and use the pool, sauna and hot tub and the other location is in the MPL's Chateau Jasper where visitors can also get spa treatments and use the pool and Jacuzzi.

Body Spa Treatments

The services offered at the Mountain Wellness Day Spa include hot stone massage ($120 for 55mins.); aromatherapy massage ($120 for 55mins.); a full body massage ($50 for 25 mins. - $135 for 85 mins.) which they offer for pregnant women, sports injuries and deep tissue massages; reflexology ($50 for 25mins.) and more. There are specialized treatments like manual lymph drainage; reiki; herbal cellulite treatment; body exfoliation and even a foot detox using Dr. Mary Staggs foot detox treatment ($50 for 30mins.). Couples can enjoy a "Melting Moments Couples Massage" followed by a glass of champagne and orange juice ($190 for 55mins.).

Aesthetic and Beauty Treatments

Among the aesthetic treatments are facials, organic microderma abrasion, intensive eye and lip treatment and a classic or ultimate facial. In addition there is an aroma facial which uses essential oils to oxygenate and nourish your skin. You can treat yourself to a Spa Manicure which includes forearm peppermint exfoliation, massage and a moisturizing paraffin wax dip for your hands ($55). They offer classic manicure and pedicure treatments, nail polish and paraffin wax treatments. Friends can enjoy a pedicure for two which comes with a glass of champagne and orange juice ($140 per couple) and for men there is a special Executive Facial with deep cleansing, anti-stress facial treatment.

The spa offers waxing of all possible body parts; tinting of eyebrows and lashes and they provide services to brides on their wedding day. The spa has two tanning beds for tanning sessions of 15 to 20 minutes.

Treatments for Teens

For men there is the Executive Facial but why not get your son used to pampering and looking after his skin at a young age. The Mountain Wellness Day Spa offers a Teen Boys Facial for $80.

For teenage girls there is the Teen Mini – a mini facial and mini pedicure ($90 for 60mins.). The Little Miss Precious package is for girls 12 years old and younger, they will get pampered and looked after. The little princesses will get a manicure with polish, toe polish and a mini facial ($80 for 60mins.).

Products

The Mountain Wellness Day Spa Aromatherapy products used in the spa are hand-blended in Jasper by the spa owner Kirsten Boisvert using organic pure essential oils. Other products used in the spa include the natural and organic Eminence Organic Skin Care line; Gehwol which specializes in foot care; O.P.I. products are used for the manicure and pedicure treatments; Kootenay hand-crafted British Columbian eco-friendly vegan bath products and soaps and the Canadian Mountain Sky products use mountain spring water, essential oils, natural colorants and food based exfoliates.

The Mountain Wellness Day Spa is open Monday to Saturday 10am-7pm and on Sundays 9am-5pm. They are located at 76 Connaught Drive and at 96 Geikie Street, Jasper, Alberta.
