Niagara Falls family hotels can be found in three main tourist areas. The Fallsview hotels which offer rooms with views of the Horseshoe Falls, these tend to be the priciest of all areas to stay in.

The second area to stay in is the Clifton Hill area with hotels either right in the heart of the action or on the surrounding streets. There are some great deals in this area and you can walk to the Falls. There are also lots of hotels and motels on Lundy's Lane.

You would need a car or use the Falls Shuttle for transporation to the main attractions and the Falls. It is about a 10-15 minute drive. You can get some very cheap family hotels in this area.

There are also several hotels offering indoor waterpark packages which are great for kids.

Hotel rates are generally more expensive on the weekends and holidays.

If you visit mid week you can get better rates, as well as if you travel in the Spring, Fall and Winter.

The Best Hotels for Kids in Clifton Hill

Travelodge at the Falls is one of the best places to stay with kids in Niagara Falls. It is right in the heart of Clifton Hill. They offer family rooms with 2 Queen Beds, a mini fridge, microwave, TV and free wireless internet. The rooms were spotless and spacious. They have an outdoor pool and free parking.

Free continental breakfast is included which has toast, waffles, bagels, fruit and cereal. You can get a family hotel package here with a few Clifton Hill attraction passes and meal vouchers-which can help you save a bundle!

Another pick from our fantastic Niagara Falls family hotels list is The Fallsview Waterpark. It is a giant indoor waterpark with 16 waterslides (up to 6 stories high), a wave pool and a Beach House water playground.

This is great for kids of all ages-including babies, toddlers, all the way up to teenagers. Parental supervision is required for kids under 16. Life jackets are available for use.

There are 4 hotels that share access to the waterpark. They have a direct indoor connection to the waterpark, except the Hampton Inn is across the street.

You can book the hotel as room only option or they often have family waterpark packages including the room, waterpark entrance tickets and sometimes meals. These are located in the Clifton Hill area and are within walking distance to the Falls.

Sheraton on The Falls

This is an upscale 4 star hotel with rooms that can accommodate a family of 5 (2 Queen Beds). The beds are soft and comfy and many bathrooms are marble and granite. Some rooms have views of the Falls. Wireless internet is available for a fee. The hotel has an indoor connection to the waterpark and Casino Niagara. Is another 4 star pick from our Niagara Falls family hotels list that is very family friendly. This complex offers family rooms that can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids in two double beds. The rooms have flat screen TV's, wireless internet (fee) and pay per view movies. This hotel is 100% smoke free. 

Skyline Inn

Offers 3 star accommodation. They have family suites with 3 Queen Beds that can sleep a family of 6. The room are spacious and have a mini fridge-great when travelling with a baby! They also offer free cribs for babies or toddlers. The family bunk bed suites can sleep 5 or 6 with 2 Queen beds and a bunk bed with a double and single bunk. It is located across the street from the waterpark, but also has its own indoor pool. So if you are on a budget but still want the waterpark experience, this is a great option. Lundy's Lane Family Hotels

Americana Resort is a cheaper alternative to the Fallsview Waterpark Hotels. It has a smaller indoor waterpark but with a retractable roof so you can enjoy the summer sun!

There is a beach entry wave pool, several water slides and and interactive water playground. The standard room offer quad occupancy. They have 1 & 2 bedroom suites that can sleep up to 6. The themed family suites have one queen bed and 2 sets of bunk beds (up to 6 guests).

Ramada Plaza is located on Lundy's Lane opposite from the Canada One Outlet Mall. The hotel offers free kids under 18 in the room. Marriott Fallsview 

Is the closest family hotel to Niagara Falls (Horseshoe Falls) and has spectacular views from the Falls facing rooms.

You can even watch the nightly illuminations and holiday fireworks from these rooms. It is an upscale 4 star hotel with standard rooms for families of 4 or 5.

Embassy Suites 

Offers 2 room spacious suites that can sleep between 5 and 9 people. The Fallsview rooms have some of the best views in town with sweeping views of the American and Horseshoe Falls.
