We stayed at the Novotel Darling Harbour for two nights on our recent visit to Sydney.
This is a great choice for a family friendly hotel as the rooms are spacious with two queen beds available. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the concierge desk several times and also received great advice and maps to help us get around.
The lobby is great with lots for families -there is a section of internet stations which are free of charge for 30 minutes periods. Our teenage daughter was very happy to connect with her friends on Facebook when we stopped in and out on our day trips!!
There is a section close by with Wii's with a variety of games which entertained our little one while we enjoyed an extra cappuccino. There is also a toddlers play area with toys near the restaurant.
The rooms were very comfortable and equipped with the usual hotel amenities like coffee and tea facilities and toiletries!
The view from the window was stunning overlooking the harbour! It was lovely to just sit and look at the action taking place below. There is so much to see happening in this area!
The buffet breakfast is lovely and offers a variety of choice that will suit everyone. If you can get a rate that includes it, it is well worth it! Good, quick service as well!
The location of the Novotel could not be better! You are really in the middle of everything. A quick stroll to the Sydney Aquarium, WildLife Park and Madam Tussauds which we thoroughly enjoyed!
A few more steps to a variety of cruises including the Captain Cook hop on hop off cruise! In the other direction a 10-minute walk to Chinatown and the IMAX theater. There are an array of restaurants around to choose from including the Hard Rock Cafe Sydney which opened recently.
The Novotel is connected to a large shopping center which is also home to the Monorail -which is definitely a fun thing to do in Sydney and a great way to get to the Sydney Eye!
It is easy to catch a taxi from the hotel entrance to go further afield and everything and most things we visited were only a $10-15 ride away.
We were really pleased with our choice of hotel and would definitely stay at the Novotel Darling Harbour again!
