1300 Trail Rides is a wonderful horse stable about an hour from Perth CBD! We spent a lovely morning on a family trail ride and enjoyed every minute of it!
If you are looking for a fun thing to do with kids in Perth, I would highly recommend going horseback riding!
1300 Trails was the perfect choice for us as we were on the way to the Pinnacles and this was a great way to break up the road trip there. Located in Gingam it is about half way there.
You could also go for a morning ride and be back in Perth in plenty of time to enjoy an afternoon at King's Park or elsewhere!
My kids both said this was their favorite thing to do in Perth which is quite impressive as we have done alot!!

1300 Trails offers a variety of rides- we went on the 90 minute Trail Ride which is suited for kids 8 and up. But don't worry if you have younger kids they offer pony rides or shorter horseback riding. They also cater for large groups as they have lots of beautiful horses!
The scenery was stunning and we even saw a kangaroo! We passed through streams and the horses stopped for a drink and some straw along the way. The horses are very gentle and tame- my husband had never ridden before and was fine! We had two guides with us, which is the norm one who was leading and one at the end.
There is a full range of equipment to wear-hats, boots and cream is provided for sun protection and also to keep flies away. You just show up wearing long pants and they take care of the rest!!
